A cinema that was once a recording studio, then a cinema again, and is soon to be a recording studio once more. Also home to a Members’ Club and Bar & Bistro.
Our flagship has a rich and storied history, with many iterations over the years, but always remaining a place to enjoy entertainment. As custodians of this iconic building, we continue to honour its legacy while shaping its future as a hub of entertainment.
The Olympic in Barnes has a three-screen cinema, a members’ club, further members-only spaces, a Bar & Bistro, an outdoor terrace, and, re-opening in 2025, the music recording studio.

THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Club Manager to provide an exception service to our valued members, who has a background in high-end hospitality. Reporting directly into the General Manager, you’ll be leading the front of house team. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the team are well trained, supported, motivated and clearly guided to empower them to provide a best-in-class service to our members and guests.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensuring that the club facilities are maintained to a high level with an eye for detail,
as well as your team doing the same
· You’ll be responsible for coordinating events and functions with the events team, and then directing and supporting the service team to deliver wonderful and memorable experiences
· Aiming to achieve high performance and engagement from your employees by using a supportive & effective leadership and management approach with clear and respectful communication
· To bring industry best practice to all areas of the Club’s activities and play a pivotal role in delivering the Club’s operational, financial and strategic goals
· Bar and restaurant service
· Recruiting and interviewing candidates
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
If you meet some but not all the criteria below, we’d still like to hear from you. Having the awareness to acknowledge areas you still need to develop are more important to us than believing there is nothing left to learn.
Our absolute requirements for this role are that you have strong experience in guest service in a high-end hospitality environment, and experience leading and motivating others.
• Strong experience and skills in managing, developing and leading a team in an engaging and supportive manner
• Experience delivering training to team members who may have limited or no prior service experience
• Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for hospitality and great service
• Experience managing events whilst maintaining a high quality of service
• Great sense of accountability and holding others to account in a fair way
• Excellent time management skills with a sense of urgency when required
• Experience cashing up, opening and closing
• Supporting the General Manager to achieve revenue targets
• Highly organised and enthusiastic team player with the ability to motivate others
• Excellent leadership and communication skills in general
• Good-great command of English- spoken and written
Sous Chef
Salary
£38,500 - £42,000 per annum

Bartender

What will you be doing day to day?
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes
- Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars.
- Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system
- Wash and sterilize glassware
- Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks, appetizers for bar patrons
- Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
- Clear and reset tables in bar area
- Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
- Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager
- Assist in the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
- Meeting and greeting our guests, making them feel welcome and comfortable
- Actively training floor staff and barbacks by sharing your exceptional cocktail knowledge
